ISO 14001 requires that an organisation performs EMS audits to determine whether their environmental management system conforms to both ISO 14001 and their own internal EMS arrangements.  The EMS audit should also check that the environmental management system is properly implemented and maintained. Burton Environmental Consulting can provide an environmental consultant to perform the in-house EMS audit, supporting organisations wishing to outsource the ISO 14001 audit function.
