EABEC - Classification of hazardous waste seminar
Members of Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA)'s East of England region attended a BE training seminar giving insights into auditing compliance with environmental legislation. Based upon experience in heavy industry and the commercial sector, BE first introduced the audience to audit techniques and guidance standards, before using a photographic virtual site tour to highlight how the principles are put into effect. A varierty of scenarios were used to explain how different legislative requirements are best audited, as well as how to meet common challenges faced by the auditor.
