A landfill site commissioned BE to perform a short 1-day audit against both its permit conditions and ISO 14001. The audit criteria covered compliance against permit conditions for waste acceptance and inspection etc, and a broader assessment of conformance to ISO 14001 requirements for aspect identification and assessment, and legal and other requirements. The audit report identified findings and detailed non-conformances in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001, enabling it to be used as evidence towards the organisation's internal audit programme.
